Who qualifies for this service?
Startups, small enterprises and sole proprietors with an annual turnover below R10 million. Businesses in that bracket qualify as an Exempt Micro Enterprise and can use an official BEE affidavit instead of a lengthy verification audit.
What does it cost and how long does it take?
The complete service fee is R490. Once you submit the application with correct details, you receive your BEE Affidavit Certificate within 24 hours.
How is my BEE level determined?
For EMEs it is based directly on black ownership percentage: 100% black-owned is Level 1, 51% to 99% is Level 2, and less than 51% is Level 4.
What details do I need to provide?
Your personal details (first name, last name, ID or passport number, email and cell number) and your business details: registered company name, company registration number, the physical address of the company, and a trading-as name if your business operates under a different one.
