If you are a foreign director
If you are a foreign director living in South Africa, you must hold a valid Business Permit from the Department of Home Affairs before a business bank account can be opened for your company. Sort that out first, or the application will not proceed.

What accounts can I open and what does it cost?
Through our partnership with FNB we assist with opening both business and personal bank accounts. The service fee is R295.
How long does it take?
In most standard cases, once your application is processed you can expect the account set up and ready within 24 hours.
What information do I need to provide?
Your personal contact details (name, email and phone number) along with your company details exactly as they appear on your CIPC registration documents (CoR 14.3), including your registered company name and company registration number.
Are there special requirements for foreign directors?
Yes. A foreign director living in South Africa must hold a valid Business Permit issued by the Department of Home Affairs before a business bank account can be opened.
